Montefiore Celebrates 134 Years at Annual Meeting
Montefiore recently hosted
its 134th annual meeting an
uplifting evening of accolades,
achievements and awards.
Amidst a welcoming audi-
ence of more than 175 guests,
including board members,
volunteers, residents, family
members, community mem-
bers and staff, board chair
Lawrence A. Mack spoke on
"Leading for Change," and pres-
ident and CEO Seth Vilensky
delivered remarks on "Inspiring
Excellence."
Shaker Heights resident Don-
ald Scherzer, past board chair,
received the prestigious Harley
I. Gross Presidential Award for
his dedication and leadership
to the organization from his
longtime friend and supporter
Andrew Hoffmann, also a past
board chair. Moreland Hills resi-
dent David Orlean was honored
as a Life Director for his key
roles in the organization.
As part of Montefiore's cele-
bration of 25 years in its Beach-
wood location, all employees
who had 25 years or more of
service were honored with the
"Above and Beyond Excellence
Award," presented by Seth
Vilensky. Montefiore also hon-
ored three team members as
Employees of the Year: Janice
Arnoff, payroll administrator;
Lisa Rowe, nursing assistant;
and Megan Kane, RN, at The
Weils Rehabilitation Pavilion in
Chagrin Falls.
