Foremost Israeli Political Analyst to Address ORT Forum, March 12 David Jablinowitz, noted Israeli political analyst and managing editor and correspondent of Israel Radio English News, will speak to the Cleveland community on the upcoming Israeli election at ORT America’s Northeast Ohio Forum. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Thursday, March 12, 7 p.m., at B’nai Jeshurun, 27501 Fairmount Blvd., Pepper Pike. Jablinowitz has covered the Knesset since 1989, interviewing every Prime Minister and reporting on historic events, such as the Oslo peace process and the only no-confidence vote to topple a government. He is on a U.S. speaking tour to provide a unique behind-the-scene look at the players and the issues involved in the Israeli election, including the implications on US-Israel relations and the negotiations with a nuclear Iran. He returns to Israel after his Cleveland stop to anchor the Election News Coverage. In addition to the keynote address, the audience will help celebrate 135 years of ORT by viewing the national “ORT Saved My Life” photo exhibit, profiling ORT alumni whose lives have been positively impacted by ORT. Michelle Hirsch will receive the Northeast Ohio Region’s prestigious “Sadie and Maurice Friedman ORT Leadership Award.” This is the Region’s highest award presented to an individual whose emerging leadership and initiative have significantly enhanced ORT’s presence in the region.
