Who's Buzzin' in Beachwood?
by Arlene Fine
O
n Sunday, September 25, the Beachwood Oval was filled with
neighbors who partied like block stars.
Residents of Brucefield, Crafton, Duffield, Hazelmere and Wimbledon Roads enjoyed an
outstanding meet, greet and eat block party held at the spacious Brucefield Oval. Along with a
sumptuous potluck dinner and children's games, a special visit by a Beachwood fire truck and police
car added to the festivities.
"This was a great way for our neighbors to get to know each other better in a friendly and welcoming
setting," says block party organizer Judi Shapiro. "We are so fortunate to live in Beachwood and this party
helped strengthen our sense of community and connection to each other."
