Beachwood Elderclass Welcomes Joe Hunter Trio and Vocalist Eileen Burns oe Hunter Trio and vocalist Eileen Burns return by popular demand for the final program of the 2014-15 Beachwood Elderclass season. Joe Hunter has been playing piano professionally since 1978 and is one of Cleveland's most versatile, popular and busiest jazz pianists. He plays almost every night at various venues, including Nighttown, either solo or with his trio. As cohost, he is an important part of Bill Rudman's Musical Theater Project's concert series. Eileen Burns is an accomplished vocalist who specializes in jazz, swing, and rhythm and blues. In 2012, she was selected as the new female vocalist for the world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra and toured with the band for a year. During that time, she sang at sold-out concert venues throughout the world. Sponsored by the Beachwood Board of Education, Elderclass affords residents an opportunity for learning and entertainment in a high school environment. Excellent lunches, catered by the vocational culinary arts class, are $5 for Beachwood residents and $8 for non-residents, if space is available. Programs in the new community room are free and open to the public. Elderclass coordinator Mort Biel reminds attendees that lunch will be served in the Beachwood Bistro at noon, with the program to follow at 1 p.m. in the adjacent community room. A bus will begin pickups going from the northeast corner of the parking lot to the front entrance, beginning at 11:15 a.m. and ending at noon. The bus will return you to your car following the program. Please register for the lunch, using the flyer you will receive in the mail. If you are not registered to receive Elderclass monthly program flyers, please contact Marlene Dunger at the Beachwood Board of Education, 216.464.2600. Reservations will be accepted by mail only. No walk-ins for lunch. No reservations needed for the program only. J Join us for our Summer Event: The Aging Eye A Dinner Conversation with Featured Speaker: Richard E.
