New Course at JLI Explores the Origins of Judaism B eginning this May, the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI) will present Judaism Decoded: The Origins and Evolution of Jewish Tradition, a new six-week spring course which will uncover the unique formula that has sustained Jewish tradition for millennia. Rabbi Shmuli Friedman will conduct the six course sessions, running from May 5 – June 9, at 25400 Fairmount Blvd., on Tuesday evenings, from 7:30 – 9 p.m. and Wednesday mornings from 10:30 a.m. – noon. With the world changing at a rapid pace, Judaism Decoded tackles the intricate questions of whether rabbis can unilaterally change Torah, and how Jewish tradition reacts to new circumstances and modern-day dilemmas. Like all previous JLI programs, Judaism Decoded is designed to appeal to people at all levels of Jewish knowledge, including those without any prior experience or background in Jewish learning. All JLI courses are open to the public, and attendees need not be affiliated with a particular synagogue, temple, or other house of worship. Interested students may call 216 282 0112 or visit www.myJLI.com for registration and other course-related information. JLI courses are presented by Chabad of Cleveland and sponsored in part by The Fund for the Jewish Future of The Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland. , Inc.TM Professional, independent services to meet all of your jewelry appraisal needs and bring you “peace of mind” • • • • • Insurance Appraisals Estate Appraisals Liquidation Appraisals Resale ( Fair Market Value) Appraisals Ask us about GemPrint On-Site staff of qualified Jewelry Appraisers • Graduate Gemologist Degree (GG), Gemological Institute of America (GIA) • Members, National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) • We follow USPAP guidelines for professional appraisal practices Appraisals done “while you wait” in the privacy of our office By appointment only (216) 591-0685 · www.heritage-appraisers.com 23945 Mercantile Rd., Suite C Beachwood, OH. 44122 Blaise Eitman Featured on Billboards Throughout Cleveland Beachwood’s own Blaise Eitman was featured on this poster and on billboards throughout Greater Cleveland in March by the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
