Food, Fun & Fashion Week, October 1-4, 2015 City of Beachwood Showcased as a Destination Community By Patty Lampert, President For the 3rd year, the Beachwood Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) participated in the WVIZ/ PBS televised auction to raise funds for public television in Northeast Ohio. Due to the support of the many hotels and businesses, the Beachwood CVB secured items valued over $2,300. It is WVIZ/PBS’s most distinctive shopping opportunity, providing four days of fun for thousands of enthusiastic viewers who watch, bid and buy the auction items. On April 25th and 26th, the City of Beachwood was showcased as a “Destination Community,” with two destination boards, donated by local businesses, highlighting the Beachwood area. With exposure to viewers in 17 counties, including Cleveland and Akron, the items on the board encourage overnight stays and visits to Beachwood. Mr. Jim Doutt, Director of Economic Development for the City of Beachwood, and Patty Lampert, President of the Beachwood CVB, auctioned the boards.
