The Beachwood High School marketing class, one of three Excel
TECC programs housed at Beachwood Schools, held an
overwhelmingly successful business expo last month. More than
4,000 visitors interacted with 180 vendors from all over Northeast
Ohio, including 50 youth entrepreneurs as young as thirteen. The
vendors were a diverse group, featuring tech start ups, gourmet
food options, enhancements for home, business and personal
services.
Incorporating the Junior Achievement Company Program, the class
operates efficiently as a business throughout the school year. CEO's
lead the company's different departments showcasing the
importance of teamwork. Each student develops professionalism
through real world networking experiences. The class, taught by
Greg Perry, was named Junior Achievement Company of the Year
for the second year in a row.
On behalf of the Beachwood Schools PTO, thank you to the
Beachwood community for the tremendous support of the
Garage Sale. From the hundreds of workers to the hundreds of
shoppers, you made a difference! The Garage Sale is the PTO's
largest fundraiser of the year and your support means more
funds available to provide extraordinary learning opportunities
for students throughout the Beachwood schools. THANK YOU!
Several winter and fall season student athletes signed letters of intent to continue their
athletic careers with local colleges and universities this past month.
