Taryn Lackritz
Gymnastics State Champion
Congratulations to Taryn Lackritz, an 8th-grade Beachwood Middle
School student, who recently qualified for the State championship
in her division for gymnastics. She placed 1st in the state of Ohio in
uneven parallel bars and 1st in the state of Ohio in balance beam.
Lackritz placed 4th overall in the state and qualified for regionals at
Bowling Green College-Ohio, at which she was one of eight gymnasts
representing Ohio in her division.
Lackritz started taking gymnastics at the age of two in a mom-
my-and-me-gymnastics class, currently practices at Jump Start gym-
nastics and is finishing up her third year in competition. She said, "I still
plan to compete to improve on my skills, advance to higher levels and
hopefully represent Beachwood High School."
