Beachwood Garage Sale is Back! April 30 – May 3 Volunteers and Donations Needed! Beachwood PTO announces that its community-wide garage sale will once again take place. This sale is a huge undertaking that raises thousands of dollars that directly support Beachwood schools and student programs. Volunteers and donations are needed to make this event a success! Please start saving your new or gently used clothing, toys, household items, furniture, etc. Volunteers are needed to help with drop off, sorting, pricing, and during the sale itself. Jewish Genealogy Society of Cleveland T he Jewish Genealogy Society of Cleveland is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering local Jewish family history and genealogical research. Regular meetings are open to the public and held on the first Sunday of the month, starting at 1:30 p.m., at the Lelyveld Library at Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple (December through March). Meetings are held from April through November on the first Wednesday of each month, at 7:30 p.m., in the Miller Board Room at Menorah Park. The Jewish Genealogy Society of Cleveland provides information on Jewish research, sources, techniques, archives and libraries. The society maintains its own research library and encourages the collection of genealogical material and family histories. The research library is available to any researcher and housed at the Lelyveld Library at Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple. Meetings feature speakers on a variety of topics of interest where researchers can learn of resources and seek out help from knowledgeable and trained society members. Annual single membership is $25 and a family membership is $35 and entitles members to receive The Kol, the society newsletter, published three times a year.
