BAC Art Card Contest T he Beachwood Arts Council (BAC), an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that has supported the arts in Northeast Ohio since 1964, is holding an “Art Card Contest” for Beachwood residents of all ages. BAC art exhibits, programs and hands-on activities enrich our entire community. To continue offering these programs and in keeping with the “arts” spirit, the BAC is sponsoring this contest and needs your help! “As a fundraiser, we will be selling folded note cards that are created by people in our community,” said the organization’s executive director, Leah Gilbert. “We’re excited about the opportunity to showcase local talents, while raising money to support our programs and scholarship fund.” Here are the steps to submit your entry: • Your artwork can be a photo or can be created in watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastels, collage or other media. • Submit original artwork or a photo of the artwork in an 8.5 x 11 format. Please include name, address, phone, and email on the back of the artwork. • Each entry must have a title. • All entries must be received by May 15. Drop off or mail entries to: Beachwood Arts Council Beachwood Community Center 25225 Fairmount Blvd. Beachwood, Ohio 44122 Attn: Art Card Contest Winning artists’ names will be printed on the back of the folded cards; the inside of the cards will be blank. Each winner will receive one package of assorted art cards with the winning designs, along with 20 extra cards of his/her design. Winners will be contacted by June 1. The kickoff of this fundraiser will take place at BAC’s Indian DiversityFest on June 14, at the Beachwood Community Center. Cards will also be sold at all BAC programs and other city events.
