The Shabbos Project
Please participate in this grassroots
worldwide effort!
T
he Shabbos Project is
a unique, international
grassroots Jewish-iden-
tity movement that unites
all Jews to keep one full
Shabbos together. The Inter-
national Shabbos Project will
take place on the Shabbos of
October 24-25 in more than
170 cities and 30 countries
around the globe.
"The idea originated last
year in South Africa, where the majority of the country's diverse
Jewish community joined together to observe a single Shabbat, most
for the first time in their lives," Rabbi Ephraim Karp from Menorah Park
told us.
By experiencing the magic of Shabbat just once, it is believed we
can rejuvenate family and community life, restore Jewish pride and
identity, and build Jewish unity across the world.
In conjunction with the Shabbos Project are two events open to
the community. Challah baking will take place October 23 at 7:30 p.m.
and a Community Havdallah concert, Saturday, October 25 at 8 p.m.
Both events will take place at Green Road Synagogue.
To register, please visit www.theshabbosprojectcleveland.org. For
more information, please contact Amira Wolovitz at 216.978.0927.

are offered each evening.
Participants may register for one, two or all three days of Learn-
