Beachwood fire ranks at top
The Insurance Services Office (ISO) collects
information on municipal fire-protection efforts
in communities throughout the United States.
In each of those communities, ISO analyzes the
relevant data using its Fire Suppression Rating
Schedule (FSRS) and assigns a Public Protection
Classification (PPC) from 1 to 10.
At a class 2, Beachwood is
in the top 1.75% of 49,000
departments throughout the
United States.
By classifying communities'
ability to suppress fires,
ISO helps the communities
evaluate their public fire-
protection services. By securing lower fire insurance premiums for
communities, the PPC program provides incentives and rewards for
communities that choose to improve their firefighting services.

$100,000 collected during the past two decades.

citizens of Beachwood."
Chief Winebrenner has been with the Beachwood Police Department

City streets are utilized by many communities to
quickly and efficiently transport victims to area
