O
n Sunday, August 31, residents of all ages enjoyed Beachwood
Family Fun Day, a family-friendly event that took place just outside
the Beachwood Family Aquatic Center. In spite of gray skies and a high
probability of rain, the day went off without a hitch. In addition to booths manned
by city departments and local civic organizations, highlights included a 200-foot zip
line, dunking booth, rock-climbing wall, crafts, face painting, bouncing activities, giant
slides, pony rides, an animal-feeding station, and an activity center for younger children.
Thanks go to Community Services Director Karen Carmen and her staff for organizing this
top-notch event that attracted more than
5,000 guests. The City of Beachwood holds
this event each year at the end of the
summer season to give back to
the community.
