Dear
Beachwood Buzz Staff:
I thank you very much for the honor you
have bestowed upon me by publishing
last month's cover story. I am very touched.
The photos that Scott Morrison took were
beautiful and the fabulous story that Doug
Guth wrote is as I would want it. In addition,
it has been very heartwarming to receive
calls, emails, and overwhelming comments
from many friends and acquaintances. You
have truly given me wonderful feelings for all
that I have done. I am glad to be part of the
Beachwood community.
Hooray for Beachwood!

Letter to the Community
Food, Fun & Fashion Week, October 23-26,
will celebrate a community appreciative of
great food, fine wine and good living. With
amazing events scheduled in and around our
community, I invite you to take advantage of
all it has to offer!
The event kicks off at the Maltz Museum of
Jewish Heritage where Sean Martin, associ-
ate curator of Jewish History for the Western
Reserve Historical Society, will be presenting
the "A Twentieth Century Story: The Gar-
ment Industry in Northeast Ohio." Martin will
discuss the impact and legacy of the garment
industry on Beachwood and the surrounding
area. Before his presentation, you can enjoy
the "Building the City Tour" at the muse-
um. Please stay and enjoy a light reception
following the program, sponsored by the
Beachwood High School Excel TECC Culinary
Arts program. The museum will also have a
drawing for a special gift and offer 10% off
any store purchases.
For those who would like to hear Martin's
presentation while enjoying wine and ap-
petizers, please join us at Flemings. If you're
interested in The Art of Fashion & Martinis,
stop in at Fringe Boutique where Zdenko
Zovkic, proprietor of XO Prime Steaks, will
discuss how to create an extraordinary
entertainment experience for your guests
while enjoying a specialty martini. Addi-
tionally, Fringe has some fashion tips and
promos as well.
These are just some of our kick-off events.
We have events scheduled for the "foodies"
and the lovers of fine cuisine; others for the
serious sophisticated shoppers; and even
more for those interested in entertainment,
music, education and hands-on activities.
And, for those who want to learn about
wine, beer or tequila, we've got you covered!
Additionally, we invite you to join us as we
celebrate healthcare in the Cleveland Clinic's
5K run, which takes place October 26.
Take some time to rediscover Beachwood
during Food, Fun & Fashion Week. For details
and event dates, visit our website at Visit-
BeachwoodOhio.com.
Sincerely,
Patty Lampert
