heritage home
program
The City of Beachwood has chosen to
participate in the Heritage Home Program
(HHP), a specialized house maintenance and
rehab program administered by the Cleveland
Restoration Society (CRS). To qualify, your home
must be 50 years old or older.
HHP and CRS provide the following benefits, all
at no cost to the homeowner:
·
Site visits to answer home repair,
improvement and maintenance questions
·
Suggestions of proper materials and colors.
·
Advice about increasing energy efficiency
·
Access to information on local contractors
·
Evaluation of contractor bids and estimates
Qualified homeowners have the option of
obtaining a low-interest, fixed-rate HHP loan,
with rates as low as 1.85% for up to 10 years.
Owners need to have good credit and sufficient
equity in the home to support the loan. There
are no points involved with these loans and the
interest is tax deductible.
Eligible projects include:
·
Exterior and interior painting
·
Kitchen and bath improvements
·

·
Roof repair and replacement

HHP loans are available for owners of residential
properties of three units or less, regardless
of whether the owner resides at the property.

specifications for exterior projects and HHP staff
is available from project start to finish.

Beachwood launches
new moBile app
The City of Beachwood is continuing
to enhance efforts to keep residents
connected and informed through the
release of a new mobile app.
The mobile app is free and available now
at the App Store or through the Google
Play Store. The mobile app will offer
residents and businesses a convenient,
user-friendly interface for city news,
events, visitor information and much
more via smartphones and other devices.
"With more people relying on their
phones and tablets for news and
information, it was important to us to
provide a mobile friendly option," Mayor Gorden said. "The app helps
organize and scale information appropriately, making it much easier for
residents to navigate on the go."
With the mobile app, the City wants to make it as easy as possible for
residents and visitors to find the information they seek. But Mayor
Gorden reminds the public that they should not be using mobile apps
while driving it is unsafe, and in Beachwood, illegal.
