You may also feel the benefits of peace and comfort as you transfer your positive energy from hands to heart. As a Caring Hands volunteer you will make a difference! You are invited to attend Caring Hands volunteer training on Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 2 to 3:30 pm at Wearn Conference Room, University Hospitals. Interested in Photography?
Do you have an interest in photography? If so, the Chagrin Valley Camera Club may be of interest. Founded more than 40 years ago, this club was formed by a group of eager photographers to promote and share their passion for photography. “We are a relaxed group of photographers who welcome prospective members at our meetings,” said the club’s president Ken Bravo, who told us you can enjoy up to three visits prior to becoming a member. Membership benefits include showing and discussing your work with others, creating art forms with photography, expert critiques at club competitions, learning through clinics, lectures and field trips, meeting mind-liked individuals, and increasing post-processing skills. Meetings are held twice a month to discuss various aspects of photography, with experts providing lectures and demonstrations to increase members' photographic skills and knowledge base. Additionally, members learn about Photoshop and other post-processing, participate in competitions and exhibits, go on field trips and more. Chagrin Valley Camera Club meet on Tuesday evenings, usually the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Locations vary, with most meetings taking place at the Beachwood Library. All levels of photography are encouraged. Annual membership fees are $25/person or $30/couple. For more information, including meeting dates and topics, visit chagrinvalleycameraclub.com.
