We are proud of this achievement and in particular that we were among the select few in Northeast Ohio to rank so highly. Although Newsweek’s ranking methodology changes, weighting criteria differently or adding new criteria from year to year, Beachwood has consistently ranked well because of our students’ achievements and the strength of our academic program. Congratulations to our students, their families, and our teachers and administrators at all grade levels, who contribute to our success in this, and other publications’ high school rankings. These lists do not measure the true value of a Beachwood education, but they are a nice validation of our students’ hard work. ATHLETICS ATTENTION ALUMNI The Beachwood High School Alumni Association needs your help! Are you a Beachwood High School Alumnus or the parent of an Alumnus? Help us reconnect with our former Bison. Let us know by visiting www.beachwoodschools.org/Reunions.aspx. We can help promote your event, provide tours of the High School and connect you to school activities taking place around your event. Congratulations to BHS Sophomore Leah Roter who broke a school Cross Country record at the Kenston Invitational with a time of 19:17. Students headed back to school mid-August and were greeted by a herd of bison positioned on lawn signs throughout Beachwood. Parents and community members signed up to host the over-sized signs and many families took the opportunity to pose for “First Day of School” photos next to their bison. We’ve got more spirit activities in the works – so stay tuned to get involved.
