Beachwood CVB
Undergoes a "Makeover"
The Beachwood Convention and Visitors Bureau is undergoing a
"makeover." The CVB, an independent 501 (c) 6 which is funded by the
City of Beachwood, has been reconfigured. The primary modification
was a change of staffing.
In 2016, the CVB will operate with an Event and Tourism Coordinator
as its sole employee. The CVB Board of Directors, an appointed group of
seven volunteers, will continue to oversee the organization.
The primary focus of the CVB is to promote business travel and
leisure tourism in Beachwood. That will not change. In fact, the
marketing efforts of the CVB will be more concentrated on tourism.
New print advertisements promoting Beachwood as a business and
vacation destination will be developed. These ads will continue to be
placed in key travel and tourism publications. The CVB website will
also be enhanced.
Home to more than 2,500 businesses and nine hotels with nearly
1,500 rooms, Beachwood is well-positioned to attract visitors. A core
component and strategic goal of the CVB is to develop strong business
partnerships within the Beachwood hospitality industry. Consistent
outreach to hotels, local restaurants, event planners and tour operators
will be central to efforts of the Event and Tourism Coordinator.
Now entering its fifth year of operation, the Beachwood CVB will
work harder than ever to put Beachwood on the map and in the travel
plans of tourists and businesses travelers alike.
