arbor Day 2015
For the 19th consecutive year, The City of Beachwood earned the honor of “Tree City USA” by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management. On April 24, the City of Beachwood and Beachwood Historical Society held an Arbor Day celebration at the Beachwood Family Aquatic Center. European Beech trees were planted. The preschool students from Fairmount Early Childhood Education Center participated with songs, poems and posters. In celebration of our City's Centennial, 100 European beech trees will be planted throughout our community. Thanks to Rosemary Nemeth, Nancy Hart and Chris Vild for making this event a success.
