Extend the Wave Walking Club Enjoy Beautiful Sunshine, Nature, and Continued Well Being eter B. Lewis Aquatic and Therapy Center clients, staff, and community members once again gathered for a beautiful adventure in walking for good health, as the launch of the new season took place recently on trails at the Acacia MetroParks. Each year, exercise specialists from the center lead walkers through beautiful winding trails nestled in the heart of nature while helping them achieve their goals to better health and stamina. The community is always invited and no RSVP is necessary. Many walkers return year after year, and new ones join them as the season unfolds. Walkers meet every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Acacia, and walk for about 40 minutes, then end the session with gentle stretching and educational information from the exercise specialists. The walk is at each individual’s own pace, and there are plenty of benches along the way for resting or just taking in nature. Anyone interested need only show up in comfortable shoes.
