Five Star Sensation has raised more than $16 million for University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center since its inception in 1987. Tickets are now available for this extraordinary celebration of food and wine to be held Saturday, June 27, at Cuyahoga Community College, Eastern Campus. This marks the first year as host chef for Michael Symon, a Cleveland native, renowned in the culinary world, with acclaimed restaurants Lola and Lolita in Cleveland, Roast in Detroit and several locations of B Spot Burgers throughout the Midwest. “I am thrilled to participate in this culinary extravaganza in my hometown, benefiting the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center,” said Michael Symon. “It raises vital funds for such an important cause in our community, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve as Host Chef of this truly sensational evening.” Five Star Sensation was led by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and chair Carole Carr for nearly 25 years. It was the first event of its kind outside of Los Angeles and has grown to be one of Northeast Ohio’s top benefits. This year’s co-chairs are Jackie Rothstein and Jane Seidman; Ralph Della Ratta of Western Reserve Partners LLC is corporate chair. Huntington Bank is returning for the fifth time as presenting sponsor. This year’s celebrity chefs include Jonathan Waxman (Barbuto, NYC), Richard Reddington (Redd, Yountville), Ken Oringer (Clio, Boston) and Traci Des Jardins (Jardinière, San Francisco).
